Overview

 

 

Cafeteria Plan Advisors is looking for an Account Representative to join their Employee Benefits team.

 

This position’s primary responsibility is to provide account management including the administration of pre-tax plans work closely with clients to obtain all necessary information, prepare employee materials, process enrollments and terminations, and attend meetings as needed. This role also requires providing customer service to clients and participants.

 

Cafeteria Plan Advisors, located in Braintree, MA, is a third-party administration company that services and supports Section 125 Cafeteria Plan pre-tax programs offered by employers, such as Flexible Spending Accounts, Dependent Care, Transit, Parking, Health Reimbursement Arrangements and Premium Only plans.   

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage implementation of pre-tax plan offerings for municipal and corporate clients including posting and reconciliation of FSA contributions for each client
  • Ensure implementation deadlines are met
  • Create custom materials for client and/or employee meetings and attend open enrollment benefit fair meetings as required
  • Work with the operations/administration group to ensure the system is set up/configured and process the appropriate enrollments for each annual plan year
  • Process new hire/terminations throughout the plan year via the system software working with the client hr/payroll contacts to ensure accurate payroll deductions are taken
  • Respond to all client and participant telephone and email inquiries promptly and provide guidance on pretax program rules/regulations
  • Work with the claims group to ensure participant claims are processed accurately and timely
  • Consistently meet both internal and external deadlines
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years of related experience, including familiarity with employee benefits administration (FSA, HRA, health, dental etc.)
  • Previous experience with in a payroll or bookkeeping department is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications, including MS Office.
  • Proficient in excel preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and efficient, with extreme attention to detail
  • Excellent critical thinking, judgment, and prioritization skills
  • Superior customer service and relationship management skills
  • High level of integrity and emotional intelligence
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
